ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION, NO PICTURE, NO VIDEO TESTIMONY
Statement – This is my first painting this year (2022). It is special because it is the first time I have picked up a paint brush in probably 25 years. I really felt Jesus wanted me to paint and use this as part of my testimony. Sometimes a picture can paint a thousand words.
The crown of thorns and the shedding of His precious blood is a reminder of the power that Jesus’ blood has to release the grip this fallen world once had on me. That I am cleansed, redeemed, and no longer a stranger to the covenant of promise and that I have gained the unmerited favour of God.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)
Statement – 8 years ago (2014) when I wasn’t actively walking with the Lord or going to church I went to a Christian Healing Centre for a weekend retreat. I needed to reach out again but because I was convinced my identity was my sexuality, I thought there was no hope and I wanted to find out if God really loved me for who I thought I was.
As I was in prayer with a member of the Ministry team, I had a vision of myself walking arm in arm with Jesus in a field of flowers. Unbeknown to me the lady who was praying for me had a vision of Jesus presenting me with a bouquet of flowers (see my following painting ‘Bouquet for My Bride’) and His words to me were ‘My Daughter, I love you’.
Statement – This painting is the second part to ‘My Beloved’. A vision shared to me by a member of the Ministry team at a Christian Healing weekend. She had a vision of Jesus presenting me with a bouquet of flowers.
I never used to like flowers, I thought they were ‘girly’ and if anyone gave you them it was because they had done something wrong or had an ulterior motive.
Since rekindling my deep love for Jesus, I am secure and happy in knowing I am His Bride. He is my beloved and I am His beloved forever, waiting for His return. I now love flowers and appreciate the beauty of His wonderful creation.

I wanted to somehow capture the Lion of Judah with some sort of gentleness as well as being fierce at the same time and I think perhaps I reflected that in the eyes.
Jesus is the Lion, roaring King of Kings but He is also gentle as a lamb. I have always felt that He, as the Lion, has got my back and is fiercely protective of His children. I can almost imagine at times snuggling into His giant mane for protection
