The God Who Sees All & Sustains All

The God Who Sees All & Sustains All

These are the banners that I currently hold for the Lord Jesus, but why two?

The first banner “Ruach” means “Wind, Breathe, All-Sufficient One”” and the second “El Roi”  means “The God Who Sees”.  I chose these two because they spoke into the season of doubt, unbelief and physical challenges I’m going through.

Firstly, I felt like I was overlooked by God. These feelings hung over me for quite some time. Many times I make the mistake of letting life and circumstances give me a false conclusion of Who God is. I wrongly measured my circumstances to how much God cares about me. Feelings of rejection, abandonment, that He doesn’t care blinded me from stepping into faith. God had to show up a few times to reassure me He hasn’t overlooked me.

I need to stand firm on the truth that He does sustain me. This truth I can see in my slow physical recovery. Sometimes we need to walk out the journey, not every miracle is instantaneous. He also sustains my faith in Him, holding my heart, despite the doubtfulness. He does care even though I do not understand. He is asking me to walk by faith and trust Him despite what it looks like. Like Peter climbing out of the boat in a storm, Peter had to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus and not the waves (Matthew 14:25-33). I am holding onto these banners as God pulls me through the next chapters of life: “My God sees me and sustains me.”

“if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” – Romans 8:5–11
