Not every art piece needs to be about the end story. It may be about the current journey we are on, so here is my present.
Many people think that as Christians we are free of struggles but that is not true. In fact Scripture promises troubles and trials for the believer. This picture came to me from a trial I am going through for the past year now. Since November 2021 my life changed drastically and did not go according to plan and I keep asking God why.
A wise woman who leads TBGL Ministry told me that: “God may be wanting to teach you about faith and what that really is.” When she said that I felt my spirit agreeing with her and my eyes started weeping. I cried because as true as that is, it still remains unpleasant to go through it. Some trials just simply seem unnecessary to us, emphasis on “to us.”
I am not over this trial yet, I struggle with fully trusting God at times, or I even want to give up on the faith. Satan has even taken his lies so far as to whisper to me how unfair God is, how unjust He is and trying to tempt me to come out and just live like I want to, simultaneously condemning me for not being better spiritually. I can only pray that the Lord will carry me through this season and bring me through with what is needed; boldness and confident faith. (James 1:5 – 9, 12 – 18)
Through each trial our faith is being refined and we are being sanctified from the ways of the flesh so that His glory and Holy Spirit can radiant through us more. We must decrease so that He can increase (John 3::30). We will go through seasons that may seem to be breaking us, but somehow if we persevere we can get through it with Christ and grow spiritually stronger.
If you are going through a similar trial today which makes you not understand God, question Him and His plans, be encouraged that He is working on us to refine us – His Masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10). Be encouraged by holding onto the passage, the Lord knows that these seasons are difficult and this is why He wrote 1 Peter 1:6-9 to us. To let us know that He Knows, He Sees.
Keep going! It will all work out in the end if you keep on seeking Him diligently and in obedience.
1 Peter 1:6-9 NLT
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
