Magnificent

Having all Power and Authority

Yet you gave up all that for me

Jesus, did not consider equality with God something to be used or abused

He did not manipulate the situation

Pride was not in his vocabulary

Rather, humility

A servant heart

A compassion so deep

A love so strong

He suffered loss

He endured the cross

His reward, to see us set free

If we would just bow the knee

Surrender our pride, our selfish lusts

I am tired of hearing his name taken in vain

Listening to those who choose to twist the word to suit their motives

Be wary of the loud and proud

The Christian leaders who follow the crowd

Instead of standing up for truth

Those who make a mockery of any hint of humility

I know whom I have believed

My knees bow at his name

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
