Knocking

Are you one who knocks hard and loud, are you a timid knocker almost scared to make a sound, do you knock then turn and scarper, do you knock and plant your anchor, refusing to move until the door is opened, are you a repetitive striker, someone who knocks and returns the next day, do you knock but your minds already strayed, do you knock with confidence or are you afraid, do you knock incessantly, do you knock hesitatingly, do you knock desperately or with quiet confidence, do you knock believing that there’s someone home, do you knock thinking that you’re all alone, do you knock with faith, do you prepare your face for the door to open believing rather than hoping that the door is unlocking, trusting that you are receiving an open invitation to enter as God exceeds all your expectations.

The question I was asking myself was this, by being accepting (permissive) of friends and family in a gay lifestyle would I be blocking the way for them to change?  This is my conclusion to my own question

Isaiah 29:13 – These people come near to me with their mouth and honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

1 Samuel 16:7 – But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’

Mark 8:36 – What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
